King Charles "did not speak to the Grosvenor family for "many years", as the next royal wedding is set to take place next month, royal biographer Angela Levin has claimed.
Hugh Grosvenor, 7th Duke of Westminster, is set to marry Olivia Henson in an event dubbed the "society event of the year", with Prince William reported to be an usher.
Detailing the wedding on GB News, Levin revealed that the Grosvenor family and the Royal Family have not always seen eye to eye, following controversy ahead of the ceremony of Lady Tamara Grosvenor and Edward Van Cutsem in 2004.
Levin explained: "With the wedding of their daughter in 2004, they wouldn't let Camilla sit next to Charles because she wasn't married to him.

"The Queen and the King were coming, the Duke of Edinburgh was coming, and they said that she had to come differently."
Due to their unmarried status, Camilla was requested to "sit behind" the Royal Family, including King Charles.
Revealing the fallout of the request, Levin told GB News that the King and Queen were "very upset" at the time, and in the end "did not attend" the wedding.
Levin explained: "She had to sit behind them. William told his father, you have to sit behind me, and you can't come out in the same car, and all that sort of stuff.

"And they were very upset about it. So they didn't go and they didn't speak to the family for many years."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Levin says prior to the wedding incident, King Charles and Hugh Grosvenor were close and have "known each other since they were at Cambridge".
Discussing the upcoming wedding of the Duke, Levin admitted it was "a shame" that the families fell out over the incident, and hoped the King and Queen "will attend" the ceremony in June.
Noting Prince William's possible attendance as an usher at the event, Levin also revealed that Prince Harry "will not be attending".
She told GB News: "Who isn't going to go is Harry because he says he doesn't want to make a fuss there and disturb everybody."

Levin continued: "I don't think he's had an invitation, but the Duke of Westminster is Prince Archie's Godfather and also Prince George's Godfather.
"The children were very close. And when Diana died, they helped them and went out with them. And they were very kind to them.
"But I think they realised it would be very awkward for the royals to have him here, either for their own reasons or Harry has said they don't want to come, but I think it's the former."
