King Charles has been urged to be the bigger person in crunch talks with his son Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex stepped down as a working member of the Royal Family in 2020 alongside his wife Meghan Markle.

Since leaving the monarchy, Harry and Meghan have launched several public attacks on the Royal Family.

In January, the Duke of Sussex's autobiography Spare was published and the royal undertook multiple TV interviews to promote his book.

However, there has been little progress in peace talks during 2023.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond has called on the King to make contact with Prince Harry to kick-start reconciliation.

Bond told GB News: "In Harry’s book and interviews, he said any negotiations would be done privately.

"I don’t think there have been any.

"I’ve always thought it’s the part of the parent to be the bigger person and try to make contact.

"I hope that the avenue of communication is still open."

It comes as Prince Harry appeared to fire a subtle dig at the Royal Family during an emotional interview in his Netflix documentary Heart of Invictus.

While discussing his internal struggle after returning from Afghanistan, the Duke of Sussex said he had no one around him who could help him.

Harry said that he had no support structure or expert advice to help him cope during his struggle.

He said: "Losing my mum at such a young age, the trauma I had I was never really aware of."

Harry added: "The biggest struggle for me was that no one around me could really help.

"I did not have that support structure, that network or expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me."
