King Charles is irked, according to a royal commentator, as Prince Andrew's drama "always appears to impact Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie."

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has highlighted the ongoing challenges facing the King regarding the Duke of York's residence at Royal Lodge.

Speaking exclusively to GB News, Fitzwilliams emphasised that the King must carefully consider the Royal Lodge situation amid mounting pressures.

Prince Andrew, who moved into the Crown Estate property in 2003, has recently secured funds to maintain his 75-year lease despite earlier pressure to downsize following his departure from royal duties in 2019.

The source of these maintenance funds remains undisclosed, though the Crown Estate has confirmed their satisfaction with the financial arrangements.

The mystery surrounding Prince Andrew's financial arrangements extends beyond Royal Lodge maintenance.

Fitzwilliams noted that Sarah Ferguson's reported £2million Mayfair property purchase two years ago adds to questions about the York family's funding sources.

"We know he's got a lot of friends, and we know those friends can contribute," Fitzwilliams told GB News.

The royal commentator acknowledged that while the Crown Estate is satisfied with Andrew's ability to fund necessary repairs, the origin of these resources remains unclear.

"We don't know where the money is coming from, but the Crown Estate is satisfied that he has the money for necessary repairs under the lease," he said.

The future of Royal Lodge could directly impact Prince Andrew's daughters, according to Fitzwilliams.

The royal commentator revealed that Andrew may potentially transfer the property lease to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

"Whether he leaves Royal Lodge, which the lease permits, to one of his daughters or both of his daughters, however, that's arranged, we simply don't know," Fitzwilliams explained.

The arrangement reflects the complex property considerations within the York family.

"Anything involving the Yorks always involves Beatrice, and Eugenie as they are so very close," Fitzwilliams added.

The delicate nature of the York family situation presents an ongoing challenge for the monarchy.

Fitzwilliams stressed that the King faces a particularly complex task in managing these circumstances.

"The King couldn't possibly afford any more problems, as there's enough trouble as it is," the royal commentator told GB News.

The observation underscores the broader implications of the Royal Lodge situation within current royal dynamics.
