Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised by royal biographer Tom Bower, as King Charles begins treatment for "a form of cancer".
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Monday they confirmed that the King has been diagnosed with cancer, following treatment for a "benign enlarged prostate".
The monarch has begun "scheduled, regular treatment" and will be stepping down from "all public-facing duties" until he is back to full health.
This comes as Princess Kate is also recovering from a recent operation on her abdominal area.

Prince William and Queen Camilla are expected to be stepping up their royal duties, as the King and Princess recuperate from their health concerns.
The Buckingham Palace statement read the King is "wholly positive" following his diagnosis.
Following the major announcement, Prince Harry was confirmed to be flying to the UK to be with his father.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Duke of Sussex landed at Heathrow Airport from Los Angeles and was given a police escort to central London to be with the Royal Family.

Reacting to the arrival of Prince Harry, biographer Tom Bower said the Duke of Sussex "does everything to promote himself" and has caused "huge problems" for his relationship with the Royal Family due to "disloyalty and treachery".
Bower added that the speedy arrival of Prince Harry after the announcement from the Palace is "suspicious".
He told GB News: "I think it's very much because the King pleaded for some sort of reconciliation, I wouldn't trust Harry at all. I think he's got form for for disloyalty.
"Harry's arrival is not good news, and I think it's very much part of Harry on a self promotion trip to give himself publicity, to give himself some sort of fame a moment in the spotlight."

Bower then highlighted the lack of public response from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex earlier this month, when both King Charles and Princess Kate were admitted to The London Clinic hospital for their treatments.
He urged: "We must remember that when the King's prostate problem was announced, there was a deafening silence from California.
"Harry never announced that he hoped his father would have a speedy recovery or anything like that. And the Princess of Wales, of course."
Reports close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have previously claimed that the couple "reached out privately" following the news of Princess Kate and King Charles's health concerns.
