King Charles has said he was "reduced to tears" over well-wishes following his cancer diagnosis.
The monarch met Rishi Sunak today for their weekly Buckingham Palace audience, where they were photographed shaking hands.
The King, 75, said that since his cancer diagnosis, he has received "so many wonderful messages and cards" that "it's reduced me to tears most of the time".
Today was the monarch's first face-to-face audience with the Prime Minister since Buckingham Palace announced he had been diagnosed with a "form of cancer".

King Charles has been staying at Sandringham following his first round of cancer treatment.
On Sunday, the King smiled and waved to the public before attending a service at St Mary Magdalene Church.
Buckingham Palace announced earlier this month that the King had been diagnosed with a form of cancer while undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The palace did not release details about the type of cancer but did confirm it was not prostate cancer.
The King usually meets with the Prime Minister each week

In a statement following the announcement, the King expressed his "heartfelt thanks" for the messages of support he received.
Queen Camilla told Ben Abbott, a critical care paramedic: "He is doing extremely well under the circumstances.
"He is very touched by all of the letters and messages the public have been sending from everywhere. That's very cheering."
After the King announced his diagnosis, his youngest son Prince Harry flew over from the US to visit his father.

At a gala in London, Prince William said: "We really appreciate everyone's kind messages, thank you."
The King's treatment as an outpatient at an undisclosed hospital started earlier this month.
Buckingham Palace said the King would postpone all "public-facing duties" following his cancer diagnosis, but that he would continue with work on his red boxes of state papers.
Charles also planned to switch his weekly audience with the Prime Minister from face-to-face to over the phone for two weeks.
