Princess Kate and Prince William's "justified fear" of being betrayed again by Prince Harry is the main reason the couple are keeping their distance from the Duke of Sussex, according to a source.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are currently not on speaking terms with Prince Harry following the release of his autobiography Spare.
Harry's memoir contained private details regarding several arguments he had with his elder brother as well as multiple digs at Princess Kate.
A royal insider told the Mail that Kate and William have ruled out a reunion with the Sussexes until they receive an apology.

The source said: "There will be no reunion until Harry and Meghan apologise to their Royal Highnesses for everything they have said.
"And there is no sign that is likely."
A friend of Prince William's told the publication: "It's hard to see a reconciliation.
"How could there be when William and Catherine have the justifiable fear that anything they say could appear in a future book or be repeated in a TV programme."

It comes as a source claimed Prince Harry wants an apology from Prince William before he will consider returning to the Royal Family fold.
Harry walked away from his role in the monarchy alongside his wife Meghan Markle nearly five years ago.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in the US with their two young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, sources have said Harry would only consider returning to the Royal Family fold if Prince William apologised to him, the Mirror claims.
