Royal commentator Charles Rae has claimed that Princess Kate gave a glimpse into her future activities as she hugged a cancer patient upon her royal return yesterday.
The Princess of Wales, 42, met with 16-year-old Liz Hatton, an aspiring photographer from Harrogate who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Speaking to GB News, Rae said: "It's fantastic. I mean, there are a few royal jobs that, you know, touch at the heartstrings and this this is certainly one of those.
"And it's the first time we've actually seen Catherine back in a royal duty since she herself confirmed that she'd finished chemotherapy.
"Now this young lady, Liz Hatton, who shares Catherine's passion for photography has a rare form of cancer.
"So it was fantastic for them to meet. And this is the sort of thing that Catherine will be doing a lot more of in the future."

He added: "It helps highlight these diseases and illnesses to the public in the hope that the public will be able to help in some way financially to the charities involved in trying to battle cancer.
"And that's the purpose of members of the Royal Family who support these various charities."
He explained: "They've gone out of their way. There was a time where you couldn't find out anything about the Royal Family, you had to do all sorts of things just to get minute details.
"But here we have both the King and Catherine having explained to the nation and the rest of the world that they are battling cancer just like everyone else.
"It doesn't matter whether you're blue-blooded or red-blooded, you are susceptible to catching these sort of diseases."
