The Sussex camp sent a source to TMZ to deny claims that Archewell is "not in the red"

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised for their work with the Archewell Foundation, amid reports that the charity received just two donations last year.

Following the release of their 'impact report' for 2022-2023, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be "disliking the British headlines" about Archewell.

This comes as reports suggest the charity lost over £8million ($11m) in donations and pledges last year.

The Sussex camp sent a source to TMZ to deny the claims, and stated that Archewell cannot be in the "red", as it is "not a corporation".

Speaking to GB News, royal and showbiz reporter Kinsey Schofield said the reports are "getting under the skin" of the royal couple.

Schofield added they reportedly only work "one day a week" for the Foundation.

Alongside the annual report, Harry and Meghan released a video on the Archewell website, sharing a montage of their work throughout the year.

On the foundation's website, a statement reads: "We are committed to a simple but profound mission - to show up and do good."

Reacting to the report and the work the Sussexes do with Archewell, Schofield said: "Harry and Meghan only work one day a week. Can you imagine, what a nice life?

"We don't know where their money goes when Harry and Meghan typically work with Archewell, and I'll give Invictus the credit it deserves, Invictus is great. However, that was an organisation started under the Royal Family's tree with teamwork from the Palace itself.

Schofield revealed: "That was not just a Harry solo initiative, but when it comes to Archewell, they tend to just attach themselves to other charities that are you know going and kicking butt and just say 'hey we're Harry and Meghan, can you can you stamp us on to something that already exists?'

"And then at the end of the year they throw it on some report and take credit from it. Like I believe last time it was vaccine initiatives, and getting vaccines to places all over the world. That was another charity that really put all the effort into to it, Archwell just tagged along. Archewell just said 'oh, and by the way, we'll help promote this'."

Schofield concluded to GB News: "So what Archewell tends to do is just insert themselves in charities that are already moving and going forward with little to no effort. The classic Harry and Meghan, you know, Spotify grifters.

"It's just classic Harry and Meghan. It's no effort."

Patrick then said of the two donations to Archewell: "Can you imagine with a profile like that, like the both of them have got and the platforms that both of them have been given, I mean, if you and I went outside right now and rattled the can, there is a chance that we'd raise somewhere in the region of the amount of money that they've raised.

"So I think it's a complete and utter disgrace that they've only managed to raise that."
