The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited by Colombia's Vice President

Eamonn Holmes has launched a fresh attack on Meghan Markle as she and Prince Harry prepare for their trip to South America.

The GB News presenter admitted he "can't think of a single thing" that the Duchess of Sussex has successfully influenced, despite "wanting to be an influencer" to her audience.

Harry and Meghan's team are facing trouble ahead of their Colombia tour, as their chief of staff has quit after just three months.

Discussing the exit from their 18th staff member, Eamonn told the panel that Meghan is "very keen to influence people" and wants "people to look up to her".

He added: "She wants people to respect her and what she does, but I can't think of a single thing that she could talk about that would make someone influenced."

Offering her view on the couple's upcoming Colombia tour, commentator Clare Muldoon criticised Harry and Meghan's decision amid their claims that Britain is "unsafe".

Muldoon told GB News: "They don't think Britain is safe enough for the two of them and the two children. But, of course, where do they go? Colombia.

"It's one of the most dangerous countries in the world - but it seems it's actually quite dangerous to work for them, because their 18th member of staff since they got married in 2018 has left."

In contrast to Muldoon, commentator Alex Armstrong argued that although they are "happy to throw their family under the bus", they are "pretty shut up about what goes on behind closed doors when it comes to their staff".

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Armstrong said: "They seem to go through staff like I do hot dinners, it's pretty shocking. And I think the public have had enough of Harry and Meghan."

Muldoon hit back at Armstrong, claiming: "I wonder if they have had enough, because they're not British royals. They're not the part of the Royal Family.

"He is by birth, clearly and bloodline, but I just wonder what the temperature is out there."

Turning the debate to the future of the Sussexes, host Ellie Costello asked the panel if they believe Meghan Markle would want to return to the Royal Family.

Armstrong responded: "I personally would really love Harry to come back to the UK, and I would love it if Meghan would come with him and be a changed persona.

"It would be a good thing if she came back as a proper royal to do duties. In an ideal scenario, we'd have Harry back here with his kids and his wife and be proper royals."

Noting the health concerns of King Charles and Princess Kate, Armstrong added that the Royal Family "needs Harry and Meghan" to "step up" in the monarchy's time of need.

Armstrong concluded: "this is the time that someone like Harry should be stepping up to look after what remains of the Royal Family with all these tragedies going on with the King and the future Queen."
