Vivek Ramaswamy has warned of a rise in "far-left" politics across the globe, ahead of November's Presidential election.
France saw a surprising win for the left over the weekend as the New Popular Front alliance gained the most seats in Parliament.
Following the UK's General Election, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is already overturning several Tory plans as Labour's landslide victory for the left in Britain wiped out the Conservatives after 14 years of power.
Speaking to GBN America, Ramaswamy said the wins represent a "leftist ideology across the modern West", and called it a "warning call" to the US as they prepare for the August convention.

When asked for his verdict on France's left-wing victory, Ramaswamy said: "It's a little bit surprising to see that outcome, and I do think that at a minimum, it it offers a warning call against complacency in the United States.
"I do see complacency as one of the risks for conservatives in the US this cycle."
Noting criticism against Joe Biden in recent weeks ahead of the US election, Ramaswamy warned that his "poor performance" in the leadership debate against Trump also "creates a new risk for the Republicans".
Ramaswamy explained: "Biden has performed so poorly that in some ways it creates a new risk for Republicans, which is complacency.

"If Americans are at least able to look at what happened in France as a cautionary note, then at least that can be one positive that we derive."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
When asked by GBNA Correspondent Steven Edginton if he is "concerned" about that rise of the far left, he responded: "I'm concerned about the rise of far leftist ideology across the modern West, and I think this is just the latest instantiation of it.
"And now this post-modern view, even in France, as in the United States, is based on racial and gender and sexual identity, which is immutable."
He added: "As a pragmatic matter, I think it is a wake up call for certainly conservatives in the US to say it's not enough to criticise that vision.
"As I said on stage, we have to offer an alternative vision of who we are and what we actually stand for. And I think that that would be a wake up call to that effect."

Turning the discussion to the UK and the government switch to the left, Ramaswamy claimed the victory for Starmer is "another warning call" to American voters about the possible downfall of right-wing politics.
Ramaswamy said: "We'll see, and judge someone on their actions. But I think it's another warning call for the United States.
"Sometimes people will surprise you, but based on what I see, it's another warning call for what we see in France and what we see in England. I look at everything from an American perspective, but that's where that's where my focus is this year.
"I think each of those at least offer cautionary tales for conservatives in the US."
