Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the front runners of their parties ahead of the election

Joe Biden and Donald Trump have been warned of a third-party candidate who could scupper their chances of a two-party election race, as the US presidential election looms closer.

Following the first two primary ballots, former POTUS Donald Trump has secured victories in both Iowa and New Hampshire, winning over 50 per cent of voters in each state.

Current President Joe Biden has seen a drop in his approval ratings, polling at just 39 per cent according to the latest data.

However, Biden managed to win his respective primary ballot in New Hampshire, despite not actually being on the ballot.

He had previously skipped the primary because New Hampshire refused to move its vote, as ordered to by the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

But Biden still secured victory over Congressman candidate Dean Phillips with 53 per cent of the result.

Speaking to GB News, pollster David Paleologos claimed Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr could challenge both Trump and Biden in November's election.

RFK Jr told CNN earlier this month that he would "consider" running as as Libertarian Party candidate.

He stated he's got a "really good relationship" with the party, and it is "something he is looking at".

Speaking to GB News America host Patrick Christys, Paleologos said: "Robert F Kennedy Junior is polling in the teens. He's about 14, 15 per cent, so that shows a groundswell of people who are disgusted with both political parties.

"So I would keep an eye on his campaign."

He added: "You also have other candidates that are just going to take slices of the election results away from Biden or Trump.

"So the Libertarian nominee traditionally takes away from the Republican nominee, which will be Trump probably."

Paleologos urged the Republicans and Democrats to "keep an eye" on RFK's campaign and the Green Party nominee, 73-year-old Jill Stein.

He claimed the Green Party "traditionally take votes away from the Democratic", but this year they are "in the low single digits".

Paleologos concluded: "Kennedy is in the double digits. He's the person to keep your eye on."
