Rudy Giuliani has warned Democrats could “cheat” at the 2024 election as he claimed voters were “brainwashed” to back Joe Biden’s party.
The ex-Big Apple Mayor, who is a close ally to Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, also suggested the 45th President should be cautious about the lengths Democrats will go to to stop him returning to the White House.
He told GB News: “They [the Democrats] are extremely resourceful. He [Trump] beat them once and they beat him once. This is like a boxing match where they’re even, you’ve got to respect your opponent. Plus they sure can cheat.
“The Democratic Party has been a crooked party for over a century. After all, this is the party of slavery. People don’t remember it but this is the party that supported, defended and kept slavery alive in America for a hundred years.”
Giuliani, 79, added: “A lot of our corruption takes place in our cities. Take a place like Chicago, 55-years of Democratic support and every weekend there are 70 or 80 people shot. And the people there are so brainwashed that they continue to vote Democrat even though they’re getting killed.
“It’s a party with a lot of resources, a great deal of history and an ability to cheat. You have to be on your toes. Things can change also in an instance in American politics.”
Trump’s former attorney, who claimed to see “thousands” of pieces of evidence of election fraud, was indicted alongside the former Commander-in-Chief last month in Georgia’s lawsuit about the Peach State’s 2020 count.
There has been no evidence of voter fraud from the last election and more than 30 lawsuits have been dismissed by the courts.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:Trump has also continued to peddle the unfounded claim, telling supporters: “They did something that should never be allowed.”
Despite the rigged election claim and January 6 insurrection, recent opinion polls suggest Trump is neck-and-neck with Biden in the race for the White House next year.
Trump lost the 2020 US Presidential Election with Biden flipping Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
However, victory for the 45th President would see Trump join Grover Cleveland as the second Commander-in-Chief to serve two non-consecutive terms in the Oval Office.
Trump’s blueprint to win the next election would need to emulate his 2016 victory against Hillary Clinton.
After laughing off the prospect of Trump running for President from behind bars, Giuliani detailed how Trump could defeat Biden.
He said: “It’s a tiring way of winning but he wins by going to the people. One of the reasons he was disadvantaged in 2020, of course the cheating, but the inability to do the rallies because of the pandemic. His rallies are a political weapon I’ve never seen before.
“I’ve been involved in my own presidential campaign and at least four others at a high level … I’ve seen some great American politicians, Democrat and Republican … But he [Trump] does something they could never do.
“When he gets a crowd of 20,000 or 30,000 in a room, they come out of there loving him. They love him. I’ve never seen it.”
