Nikki Haley came in second place to Donald Trump with just over 43 per cent of the vote

Nigel Farage has warned Nikki Haley of "damaging her reputation", after the Republican candidate hit back against Donald Trump following the New Hampshire ballot results.

The ex-President secured his second victory in the Primaries after 54 per cent of New Hampshire voted for him.

Trump's momentum has remained strong after winning the first ballot in Iowa, despite passionate campaigning from fellow Republican Nikki Haley.

After coming in second place with just over 43 per cent of the vote, Haley hit out at Trump and vowed the race is "far from over" between them.

She added: "I’m a fighter and I’m scrappy. There are dozens of states left to go and the next one is my sweet state of South Carolina."

Donald Trump then accused Haley of "bulls***t" and took to the stage in New Hampshire to mock his runner-up, calling her an "imposter".

Trump fumed: "She failed badly… She didn’t win. She lost."

Discussing the result on GB News, presenter Nigel Farage said the second Trump victory shows the "fanatical support" he still has as a former President.

Nigel explained: "If there was one state in which he might do badly, it was New Hampshire, because it wasn't just registered Republicans voting, Independents could vote in that primary as well. And he's still 11, 12 points ahead of Nikki Haley.

"I honestly can't understand what she thinks she's got to gain by going on to her home state on February 24 and probably being beaten by 30 points.

"So look, the nomination is Trump's. It's kind of all over, I suppose."

Host Andrew Pierce questioned if Haley's plan is perhaps to prepare for a stronger campaign in the next Presidential election, as she knows she "can't win this time around".

Nigel agreed: "She may be trying to position herself for four years time. But you know, it's not a good thing to upset the base, is it?

"It's not a good thing to make the base think 'we've got to turn out when Super Tuesday comes up March 5'.

"She's got to be very, very careful not to damage her reputation long term."
