In one tirade, Biden reportedly said: 'That son of a bi**h, Bibi Netanyahu, he's a bad guy. He's a bad f**king guy!'
Outgoing US President Joe Biden hurled accusations of lying at Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and swore at him behind his back, a bombshell new book has claimed.
The book, War, by Bob Woodward, the veteran American journalist who broke the Watergate scandal, makes a litany of claims against Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
The book sheds light on "three wars" - Ukraine, the Middle East and the struggle for the American presidency - and purports to reveal insider tidbits on some of the last two Commander-in-Chiefs' office outbursts.
In public, Biden has remained a staunch supporter of Netanyahu in his war against Hamas.

GETTYBut behind closed doors, the 81-year-old incumbent president is accused of describing Netanyahu as a "son of a b***h" and a "bad f**king guy".
His "frustrations and distrust" of Israel's PM "erupted" last spring, Woodward writes, as the death toll in Gaza grew even further.
Woodward describes Biden being left "f**king furious" by Netanyahu, allegedly saying in one tirade: "That son of a bi**h, Bibi Netanyahu, he's a bad guy. He's a bad f***ing guy!"
With Netanyahu "continuing to say he was going to kill every last member of Hamas", Woodward writes, "Biden had told him that was impossible, threatening both privately and publicly to withhold offensive US weapons shipments".

PABiden also laid into Netanyahu directly - in the wake of an Israeli airstrike which killed a Hezbollah commander and three civilians in Beirut, he asked him: "Bibi, what the f**k?"
The president tried to warn Netanyahu, Woodward writes, that Israel was losing credibility on the world stage, and was increasingly being seen as a "rogue" actor.
But "Bibi" hit back, allegedly saying: "We saw an opportunity and took it... The harder you hit, the more successful you're going to be in the negotiation."
Biden had been trying to rein in Israel over fears the fighting would ignite an all-out war in the Middle East.

REUTERSThe White House has hit back at the book's content, with spokeswoman Emilie Simons telling reporters on Tuesday: "The commitment that we have to the state of Israel is ironclad."
Leaders "can have very honest and straightforward conversations" and Israel-US ties remain strong, Simons continued.
Though when pushed on the details, Simons said she wouldn't comment on every anecdote.
She added of Biden and Netanyahu: "They have a long-term relationship... They have a very honest and direct relationship, and I don't have a comment on those specific anecdotes."
