Pop star Holly Valance has claimed that you "can't say anything" in Los Angeles as Republicans get shunned by those in Hollywood.
She spoke on GB News’s new Chopper’s Political Podcast where she hit out at the "woke elite."
Explaining that she moved to America in her early 20s, she explained that she soon realised that she "wasn't going to kick off her career" there due to "not playing the game."
Speaking to Chris Hope she explained: "I was living in LA, which is very left-wing, but it's also this sort of cult.

"You have got to get on board or you're not going to get a job. So I sort of was in my own journey as a young adult living there, and I started realising that I was probably not going to kick off a massive career there because I'm not going to play the game.
Chris asked her: "What is playing the game?"
She said: "Various things but mostly just going along with whatever they're doing, which is usually lefty, weird woke crap.
"I was very monogamous and always in one relationship. I wasn't going to be at all the parties, sleeping with the right people and pushing myself in that way. I wasn't a hustler in that regard.

"Everyone was doing it. That's how it works. It's not a rumor. That is what happens. It is about who you know and how you can hustle yourself in whatever way you can.
"So I just wasn't going to be that ever. So I knew it was going to be a very vanilla time there and I had some really great roles. I did some great things. It was fun. I enjoyed it, but yeah, I knew what was in store for me."
The Neighbours star said that when she speaks to her friends in LA they all tell her she "doesn't understand."

She revealed: "Everyone's terrified of losing their job. When I talk to my friends in LA and I ask why are you not saying no to that?
"Why are you not refusing that stupid request? They say Holly, you don't understand. You can't say anything. Everyone's on the same."
The star added: "They all expect you to be a Democrat for sure. You get shunned and you wouldn't be living in California being a vocal Republican and in showbiz, you're not ticking enough boxes. You'll have to move somewhere else."
Elsewhere in the interview, Valance lamented the “woke” state of play in Australia as she vowed to never live there again as she is committed to England, a country she feels “very patriotic” about.
“The plan would be to stay and live where we love, which is here”, she said.
"I’m very patriotic to this place. My mother is from Southampton. My whole family is English.
“I don’t want to go anywhere. And Nick [Candy, her husband], doesn’t want to go anywhere.
“We prefer to be in our country.”
