Donald Trump has revoked 80 of Joe Biden’s “destructive and radical executive actions” within mere hours of returning to the White House.
The changes included withdrawing the US from the World Health Organisation, as well as the Paris climate agreement.
The new President announced that “the golden age of America begins right now” as he promised to revoke “80 destructive and radical executive actions of the previous administration”, marking the start of his second administration.
Yesterday, he signed off a record number of executive orders at the Capitol as well as in front of thousands of his supporters in the Capital One Arena later on in the evening.

“America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful, most respected nation on Earth, inspiring the awe and admiration of the entire world,” Trump told the crowd of senior politicians and private guests.
“We will be the envy of every nation, and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer,” he declared.
“During every single day of the Trump administration, I will very simply put America first.”
Upon entering the Oval Office, he pardoned around 1,500 of his supporters who were charged after the January 6 riots at the US Capitol in 2021.

He also ended the sentences of 14 members of the hard-right Proud Boys and Oath Keepers organisations, even those convicted of seditious conspiracy.
On energy, Trump repealed a memo from 2023 which barred oil drilling in 16 million acres out in the Arctic, declaring a national energy emergency.
He committed his administration to filling strategic oil reserves, exporting American energy globally.
Trump vowed: "We will be a rich nation again and it is that liquid gold under our feet that will help to do it.”
The new President has also ordered federal workers to fully return to working in the office full time - five days a week

Regarding illegal immigration - which made up a key part of his election campaign - he declared a national emergency as he explained that he would deploy US military troops to support immigration agencies and restrict the number of those seeking refuge and asylum.
Criminal cartels have now been designated as terrorist organisations, as he announced: “International cartels constitute a national-security threat beyond that posed by traditional organised crime.”
The new President has also ordered federal workers to fully return to working in the office full time - five days a week.
He has now enacted a federal hiring freeze - excluding the military and the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency - to trim the fat in the US Government.
Former Government officials will also be held “accountable for election interference”.
