US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have been slammed by a former Republican chairman, as the pair prepare to battle in the upcoming US election.
Jennifer Nassaur, lead campaigner for candidate Nikki Haley, has hit out at Trump and Biden, as the current and previous leaders of America gear up to run again.
Nikki Haley, the former Governor of South Carolina and United States ambassador to the United Nations, is narrowing her position behind Trump in the latest primary polls.
Trump currently takes 39% of likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire, with Haley closely following behind with 32%.
Jennifer Nassaur says the US 'desperately needs' Nikki Haley

Support for Haley has risen 12 percentage points since the last poll in November 2023.
Candidates Ron DeSantis and Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson are at the bottom of the ranks, sitting with 5% and less than 1% of the vote.
Appearing on GB News, Nassaur claimed Haley is a "competent and capable" candidate to lead the US into its next administration.
She added that as a state legislator and former Governor and UN ambassador, Haley "understands domestic and foreign policy", which is something she claims the US "desperately needs".
Nassaur told host Patrick Christys voters are looking for an "alternative" to former leader Donald Trump.
She claimed: "No one wants to see a showdown between Donald Trump and Joe Biden again.
"They are two old guys that just give the same speeches over and over, and both are basically doing nothing to campaign.
"They don't want to answer questions from the American people. Nikki Haley on the other hand, she is an alternative to both of them."

Nassaur then revealed that Haley is "leading by 17 points against Joe Biden in the polls", but Biden and Trump are very close together.
She admitted: "It makes me very uncomfortable to think that we would have a Republican nominee who may lose to Joe Biden again.
"Nikki Haley presents an alternative. She is an accountant, she knows how to balance a budget, which we so desperately need here.
"She was a state legislator, she was a Governor, and she was a UN ambassador. So she understands domestic and foreign policy, which again is something that we need desperately in America right now."
