The US Supreme Court has the power to overturn the ruling against Donald Trump

Colorado Attorney Eric Olson has admitted that the US Supreme Court "may step in" to overturn a recent ruling against Donald Trump.

The former US President was disqualified from running in the 2024 Presidential election by the Colorado Supreme Court, after a ballot was implemented using the 14th Amendment.

The Amendment, used for the first time in history by the Colorado Court, means Donald Trump can no longer run his campaign in the state, but he can still run in other US states.

Trump blamed the decision by the court on current President Joe Biden, branding him "crooked".

Trump said this week: "Crooked Joe Biden and the far left lunatics are desperate to stop us by any means necessary.

"They are willing to violate the US Constitutions at levels never seen before in order to win this election. Joe Biden is a threat to democracy."

Speaking to GB News, Attorney for Petitioners in Colorado 14th Amendment Case, Eric Olson admitted that the decision could be overturned by the US Supreme Court.

Olson revealed: "The rest of America doesn't need to listen to us, each state makes their own decision.

"The US Supreme Court may step in and address this case. If they do, then the US Supreme Court will set the rule for all of America. But under our system, Colorado, Arizona, and Alabama each can approach this with a different procedure.

"We use the procedures in Colorado. We think it's quite persuasive, but each state can do it their own way unless the Supreme Court weighs in."

Olson also told GB News host Patrick Christys that there are "a number of qualifications" within the US Constitution to be an eligible candidate for US President.

He stated: "Our Constitution has a number of qualifications. You have to be born in America, and you have to be at least 35 years old."

Olson continued: "We could not elect Tony Blair, Taylor Swift or Arnold Schwarzenegger to be our President. This is a similar qualification.

"It ensures that the person who is standing for election and may become President meets the constitutional qualifications.

It enables our democracy to thrive, It is not anti-democratic."
