Joe Biden’s approval ratings have hit a record low, with a new poll that revealing that Kamala Harris would be a more popular choice for President than he would.
The survey, conducted by Monmouth University, showed that Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 34 per cent, the lowest since he began his administration.
Harris has fared slightly better than Biden, 81, who scored 35 per cent with pollsters.
Her disapproval rating has also trumped the President, with a score of 57 per cent compared to 61 per cent of pollsters who are not a fan of Biden.
Many of those surveyed were also critical for his handling of immigration and inflation.
Precisely, just over 2 in 3 disapprove of the President’s performance on immigration (69 per cent) and inflation (68 per cent).
Meanwhile, more than half feel the same about the way he has handled climate change (54 per cent), jobs and unemployment (53 per cent), and transportation and energy infrastructure (52 per cent).
“The Biden administration keeps touting their infrastructure investments and a host of positive economic indicators. Those data points may be factual, but most Americans are still smarting from higher prices caused by post-pandemic inflation.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Joe Biden's approval rating is the lowest its ever been
PA“This seems to be what’s driving public opinion. There is political danger in pushing a message that basically tells people their take on their own situation is wrong,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.
The results of the survey reveal that many Americans are dissatisfied with life in the US. 69 per cent believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction, whilst just 20 per cent think the opposite.
Whilst the majority of Democrats (58 per cent) feel that Biden is paying enough attention to their main concerns, only 11 per cent of Republicans and 25 per cent of Independents feel the same.
The American public has also not viewed Biden favourably, with just 31 per cent saying the President has been giving enough attention to the issues most important to their families.
In comparison, his predecessor Donald Trump scored more positively. 41 per cent said Trump was devoting enough time to these issues.

“But even a good chunk of Biden’s Democratic base wish he’d start paying more attention to their top priorities than he is now,” he continued.
Last month on November 9, Biden told reporters: “You don’t read the polls. I’ll give you 10 polls, eight of them I’m beating him [Trump] in those states. Eight of them. You guys only do two.”
However, just over a week later, Biden complained to his closest aides that his poll numbers were too low, the Washington Post reported yesterday.
The media outlet said Joe and Jill Biden have “grown upset” at the lack of improvement in the President’s ranking.
