Britons have rushed to the defence of Suella Braverman, after she was sacked by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday.
The former Home Secretary was replaced by ex-Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, sparking a cabinet reshuffle by the Tory leader.
The sacking follows the publication of an op-ed by Braverman on the ongoing pro-Palestinian protests in the capital, in which she accused the Metropolitan Police of "playing favourites" when it comes to policing protests.
Braverman also caused concern among Conservative MPs on other comments made on the matter, after branding the protests "hate marches".

Braverman has previously voiced her opinions on other matters, claiming that people living in tents are making a "lifestyle choice", and labelled the surge in illegal migration to the UK an "invasion".
In a statement following her dismissal, Braverman called the role the "greatest privilege" of her life, and teased "I will have more to say in due course."
Gathering his new cabinet in a meeting this morning, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak welcomed his "strong and united" new team to Downing Street.
Sunak told his new cabinet: "I'm confident that we can demonstrate to the country that we're making progress on the priorities that I set out at the beginning of the year - to halve inflation, grow the economy, reduce debt, cut waiting lists and to stop the boats."
Taking to the streets of Fareham in Hampshire, Braverman's constituents shared their thoughts on Rishi Sunak's decision with GB News.
One resident branded the sacking a "mistake", stating: "I think she speaks a lot of sense and I think she's speaking for what a lot of the British public are thinking."
Another suggested the move could put Braverman in a position to run for leader, saying: "I think she's quite fibrous and underhand, but she's not stupid and I think she's doing it for her own reasons, IE to have a go at the leadership."
The ex-Home Secretary was defended by another resident as he called the move by Sunak "premature".

He explained: "It's been a bit premature actually considering what she stood for being a Brexiteer and the small boat situation and the other things that she was involved with. I believe she was right when she talks about all these protesters that they are hate crimes."
Another Fareham local was in agreement with the Prime Minister to remove Braverman, admitting: "I think it was right call, because her views are a bit too much."
More locals shared a similar view, also suggesting that Braverman is "playing to a certain crowd". He said: "It's just a ploy to get to be leader probably of the opposition when or if they lose the election.
"So I think she's just trying to provoke stuff and I think some of the stuff she said is not nice, and I think she's just playing to a certain crowd."
