The insurgent party's upswing in the polls comes ahead of Nigel Farage's attendance at Donald Trump's inauguration
Reform UK is snapping at Labour's heels in a weekly tracker as Starmer's woes worsen and voters ditch Kemi Badenoch's party.
The latest Techne UK survey, conducted among 1,645 voters, shows that Labour maintains a slight lead at 26 per cent, down by one percentage point since before Christmas.
The Conservative Party (Tories) also experienced a decline, dropping to 25 per cent, another one percentage point decrease. Meanwhile, Reform UK has gained ground, increasing by two percentage points to reach 23 per cent.

X/NIGEL FARAGEThe result is consistent with other recent polling as Reform continues to snap at the heels of the two main parties, particularly north of the border.
Farage’s party would scoop 24 per cent of the national vote, landing them 31 seats in the soon-to-be expanded Welsh parliament, the next elections for which are due in 16 months if an election was held tomorrow, a shock poll found last week.
It would mean for the first time since Wales’ devolved government was founded in the late 90’s that Labour would not be the largest party.
The research suggests voters are beginning to abandon Labour whose vote share projection of 27 per cent would only be enough to match Reform’s 31 seats.

The 47th President is set to be sworn in at the US Capitol in Washington DC around 12pm local time (5pm UK time).
Last night, the Reform leader held a glitzy event dubbed "the biggest inauguration party" at the Hay Adams Hotel to mark the historic occasion
The event was organised by Andy Wigmore and Arron Banks, known as the "bad boys of Brexit". Gerry Gunster, a US businessman, also played a significant role in organising the event.
The guest list included former Prime Minister Liz Truss, who told fellow partygoers that Trump "will save Western civilization".

PAReform's billionaire treasurer, Nick Candy, was also in attendance, alongside Steve Bannon, Raheem Kassam, and other conservative figures from both sides of the Atlantic.
As Farage heads to Trump's inauguration, Starmer will be conspicuously absent.
The reasons for his absence are primarily based on diplomatic protocol and political alignment, although, Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will be attending, as will Javier Milei of Argentina and Viktor Orbán of Hungary.
Starmer's official spokesman has confirmed that the UK will be represented by the British ambassador to the US.
