The Labour Government "would not have got in" if pensioners knew "what was going to happen" when they voted this summer, an aggrieved OAP has told GB News.
Millions of pensioners are facing freezing cold winters as their Winter Fuel Payment benefits have been cut, with many still expressing outrage at Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
Reeves is expected to next week unveil even more unrest for Britain's elderly in her first Budget announcement on October 30.
Speaking to GB News in a Budget special programme with Patrick Christys, residents of County Durham voiced their concerns and outrage at the Government's decisions ahead of the announcement.

Sharing her view of the Budget and Winter Fuel Payment cuts, pensioner Gail told GB News: "I think pensioners are under attack, very much so.
"And I really believe that if the pensioners knew when they voted what was going to happen, I don't think Labour would have got in."
In defence of the pensioners that have "worked all of their lives" and are now "having everything taken away from them", Gail fumed: "It seems to me that if you work all your life and you work hard and you save and everything else, it doesn't pay you to do that anymore.
"You get nothing. You get everything taken off you."

PASuggesting how the Chancellor could have eased the financial losses for millions of pensioners by cutting the winter fuel, Gail claimed that many would not be suffering so much if the benefit was "halved" instead of completely scrapped.

Gail explained: "If they said they were going to halve it, that wouldn't have been quite as bad. But it's a big blow to people to suddenly have £300 taken off them in one fell swoop.
"It just seems to be hitting on people who really can't fight back, they're too old to fight back. I just think it's very, very unfair."
In agreement with Gail, Patrick said that the cuts "are unfair", and echoed the thoughts of many pensioners he had spoken to today in County Durham.
Weighing in on the cuts, another pensioner voiced his concerns with Labour axing the pensioner perk, arguing that "more needs to be done" to help the pensioners of Britain, instead of taking away certain benefits.

Brian told Patrick: "As an octogenarian, I've been through a lot in life. I started life in poverty with my own family and we've always struggled. But thankfully we've made our way through perseverance and we're reasonably comfortable.
"But there are many, many people out there, particularly in the North East and other deprived areas who are very needy of help from the Government.
"This Winter Fuel Allowance is one of them, and there are other benefits and allowances which should be made more readily available to those people."
