Eamonn Holmes slams Labour politicians in a fiery rant over 'truth' in politics: 'Pathetic!'

Speaking on GB News this morning he said: "Keir Starmer would not be re-elected. It's been such a disastrous start to the socialist government not doing socialist things.

"And what we're seeing here with this pension situation, not even to put up a defence and say honestly, 'we don't want to do this. But this last lot have broken the bank and this is how bad the things are'. The messaging is not working.

"Nobody speaks with any truth or any conviction. You look at Yvette Cooper standing there saying that 'this has got to be changed'.

"She's the Home Secretary now. Politicians, they are pathetic in this country. We get what we deserve.

"Now, is Nigel Farage going to get a whole heap of money and does that mean that he can do what he wants?

"I personally don't think Musk, he looks like a Bond villain, should be allowed to interfere in our politics."

His comments follow a high-profile meeting between Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, tech billionaire Elon Musk and Reform treasurer Nick Candy at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

The hour-long discussion, which took place on Monday, has intensified speculation about potential funding for Reform UK.

Musk has already demonstrated significant political influence, having donated at least $260million to Donald Trump's election campaign.

Farage revealed on GB News that his discussions with Musk included detailed analysis of Trump's victory margins in key swing states.

"I took copious notes, I learnt a huge amount," Farage said about Musk's voter engagement strategy.

Regarding potential funding, Farage acknowledged that money was discussed but dismissed earlier reports of £100million as "ludicrous."

According to Farage, Musk expressed concern that "the mother country of the English-speaking world is going down the tubes" and agreed that "Britain needs Reform."

The Reform UK leader confirmed there would be further negotiations about potential financial support from Musk.
