Dehenna Davison has quit her job as Levelling Up Minister after suffering from chronic migraines.
In a resignation letter published this morning, Davison said she plans to "step back fully from government".
Conservative MP Jacob Young has been appointed to replace her.
Davison said she has been "battling with chronic migraine" for "some time now", saying it has had a "great impact" on her ability to carry out her job in the Department for Levelling Up.
Davison said her role as Levelling Up Minister has been "an immense privilege that I will forever remember".

The MP for Bishop Aukland added: "Some days I'm fine but on others it is difficult, if not impossible, to keep up with the demands of ministerial life - and the timing of such days is never predictable.
"Though I have tried to mitigate, and am grateful to colleagues for their patience at times, I don't feel it is right to continue in the role".
She praised the Department for Levelling Up, saying it has handed "real power and funding back to local people so they can determine their own destiny".
Davison said her role as Levelling Up Minister has been "an immense privilege that I will forever remember".
Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Michael Gove, said he is "really sorry to lose Dehenna from the department", describing her as a "brilliant minister and kind friend".
Writing on X, he added: "Wishing her all the very best for the future. She has so much to offer".
Davison, who was seen as a rising star in the Conservative Party, has already announced that she will not be standing at the next election.
In her letter, she added: "As I have limited time left in Parliament, I want to focus my last months on two things.
"Firstly, doing all I can to deliver on the pledges I made in Bishop Auckland, and ensuring our new candidate has all the support they need to hold the seat.
