Angela Rayner has hit back at a former neighbour who branded her a “f*****g liar” for claiming she did not live with her husband before becoming an MP in 2015.
Labour’s deputy leader has faced growing scrutiny over whether she should have paid capital gains when she sold her former council house for £48,500 profit.
Neighbours claim Rayner did not live in the Stockport property after marrying her husband Mark in 2010.
The Ashton-under-Lyne MP also remained on the electoral roll after tying the knot.
Angela Rayner's spokesman has fired back over recent 'gossip'

Sylvia Hampson, 83, who lived next-door to the property owned by Rayner’s husband a mile away, said Labour’s deputy leader was a “f*****g liar”.
She also told The Mail on Sunday: “If she is saying she didn’t live there then she’s a f*****g liar. She definitely lived at that house.
“She can’t say she didn’t live there. I would swear on the bible to that.”
Rayner’s spokesman hit back: “Gossip and hearsay does not change the fact that Angela Rayner maintained her own home while sharing childcare responsibilities with her husband at his property.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:“Angela Rayner has set out her family's circumstances and has taken expert tax and legal advice which confirms that no capital gains tax was payable on the sale of her home.”
However, a Conservative source claimed: “She has refused to explain why she provided different home addresses to different authorities and is now openly being called a liar by her former neighbours.
“If there was an innocent explanation, she could provide it and draw a line under the matter.
“It's odd that she is claiming to have taken legal advice as to where she lived, surely that's something she would know.”
But police said they had found no evidence of any offences.

PABury North MP James Daly wrote to Greater Manchester Police asking the force to investigate claims about Rayner.
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt also mocked the Shadow Levelling Up Secretary at last week’s Budget over her “multiple dwellings”.
However, the Labour’s deputy leader continues to insist she did live in the property which she bought under right-to-buy in 2007.
Rayner insists she lived in the semi-detached house in Vicarage Road until weeks before her election as MP for Ashton-under-Lyne in 2015 and never rented it out.
The couple, who have since separated, “maintained” their own separate homes until setting up a joint marital home after her first political triumph.
