Stand by – the best club in London is back…
Yes, lots of great fun to be had at that club; music dancing, singing – even girls with their boobs out! Now all of that, might be fine if indeed it was inside an actual club. But it is not.
It is outside, in the middle of busy streets and is creating absolute chaos. And, whilst these jublient clubbers – who like to be known as Rebels, are having a whale of a time, it is the police and the councils, who are left to pick up the pieces.
The Extinction Rebellion protests will continue across the UK for at least another next week. Yes, that will be the same UK which was the first major economy to pass a net zero emissions law and which contributes just 1% to global emissions.
Given reducing emissions is their aim – perhaps they would be better served taking their escapades over to China, who singlehandedly produce 28% of global emissions. I have to admit – I would be more than a little curious to see how the Chinese Communist Party would deal with them.
Alas deal with them we must because while their aim is a noble one, their methods leave a lot to be desired.
So, if indeed they wish to describe themselves laughably as ‘the best club in town’ then maybe it’s time for them to use some of the money they boast about raising from their supporters to pay their club bouncers – also know as the police to you and I – themselves. The bill currently stands at £19 million and is growing, every day...
