EXCLUSIVE: The man said his eldest nephew was 'distraught' over the potential abduction

A man has described the exact moment he was forced to cut a call to his sister short as Hamas terrorists went door to door and captured his family.

Ahal Besorai, a British-Israeli citizen who lived in Britain for 25 years but is now based in east Asia, detailed his final call with his family.

He explained that his father and two sisters live in Kibbutz Be’eri, a settlement of just 1,000 people, which saw Hamas gunmen kill at least 100 in a lightning siege.

This town was among the worst-affected areas when Hamas stormed Israel on Saturday, with the Israelis now claiming to have reestablished control of all of its communities surrounding Gaza.

“My dad and two sisters live in Kibbutz Be’eri, which is our home in Israel,” Besorai told GB News.

“In the Surprise attack by Hamas on Saturday, 90 terrorists entered the Kibbutz and they went from house to house indiscriminately and viciously killing people.

“My dad and sisters hid in our Mahad (shelter) in the house with the children. But at 7am on Sunday I couldn’t reach them.

“I was on the phone to my sister the whole time amid the attacks. Suddenly she said, ‘I cannot talk, they are shooting outside, I can hear Arabic outside’.

“And then I didn’t hear from her again.

“She didn’t want to realise they were there. From my understanding, they were taken. They were pulled out alive. Witnesses saw them being taken away.

“The teenage children and my sister and her husband and dad were dragged away.”

Besori believes that his family could still be alive but are currently hostages of Hamas.

He explained that his sister has three children, two of whom are believed to have been captured with her.

However, her eldest son was away doing national service at the time and is expected to join the IDF next year.

“He is distraught, he is desolate,” Besori said, “We are not revengeful people, you suffer and you are in pain. But we do not want to go and harm someone else.

“I was in the Israeli military, a combat officer, but we are not savages. We do not fight out of revenge and malice. You do it to defend your family.”

The latest data from the Israeli front line suggest the bodies of 1,500 Hamas fighters have been found on the Israeli side with the IDF also confirming 900 Israelis have been killed since the start of the war.

Over in Britain, antisemitic attacks on Jewish businesses and pro-Hamas rallies have caused Government leaders to wade into the conflict.

Speaking on the British reaction to the conflict, Besori said he was “distressed” over the protests.

“I lived in Britain for 25 years. Both of my sons are in London, we were in Israel last April together,” Besorai said.

“I am distressed by the 5,000 people protesting against the Israeli situation in London.

“I try to process the situation, I want to think that it is coming from a lack of deep understanding.

“This is what happens when you try to apply Western morals and values to savages, murderers, and terrorists. We would not do this for ISIS, we cannot do this for Hamas.

“People in Britain fled to join ISIS, and now similar people are supporting Hamas. This is a travesty.

“I can see the plight of the Palestinian people and I pray and wish for a solution for them, but to support Hamas in Gaza is just wrong.”
