Warner Bros have said they are “proud” to work with JK Rowling after a Harry Potter star was blocked from answering a question about the controversial author.
Ms Rowling has been vocal in her views on the trans community, which has caused her to be criticised across social media.
Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the global fantasy film series based on Ms Rowling’s books, was asked to comment on the author during a recent interview, but a PR alongside Mr Felton quickly interrupted and said: “Next question please”.
In a statement over the incident, the third-party PR team said: “JK Rowling is not connected to Warner or Tom Felton, the team felt it was not relevant to the piece.”

But Warner Bros have since hit back at their comments, telling MailOnline it was “wholly wrong” and that they were “proud” of working with “one of the world’s most accomplished storytellers".
Warner Bros have worked alongside Rowling on the Harry Potter series, as well as the more recent Fantastic Beasts films.
Fellow Harry Potter star Emma Watson has previously hit out at Ms Rowling for her views on trans.
Ms Watson took to Twitter to say: “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren't who they say they are.
“I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.”
