'I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,' Bannon claimed
Steve Bannon, a Donald Trump ally, has called Elon Musk “racist” and a “truly evil guy”, pledging to “take this guy down.”
Trump’s former advisor hit out at Musk - promising the billionaire would not have top-level access to the White House once the president-elect takes office.
“He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down," he told Corriere della Sera newspaper in Italy.
He continued: “Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it – I’m not prepared to tolerate it any more.

“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by inauguration day. He will not have full access to the White House. He will be like any other person.”
Musk became one of Trump’s most prominent supporters, spending around $270m to help his campaign to regain the US presidency.
The Tesla mogul has been at Trump’s side ever since his win - with the president-elect even appointing him to lead an advisory group dedicated to cutting US government spending by up to $2tn, a quarter of its entire budget.
However, other Trump supporters and allies such as Bannon have taken badly to Musk’s embrace of H-1B visas - which allow companies to hire professionals from outside the US.

“This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system is gamed by the tech overlords. They use it to their advantage. The people are furious,” claimed Bannon.
Bannon also attacked Musk’s heritage, claiming: “Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?”
He said Musk should “go back to South Africa,” further adding that the billionaire has “the maturity of a little boy”.
Arguing that Musk’s only objective is to become a “trillionaire”, Bannon called him a proponent of “techno-feudalism on a global scale.”

“He will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or has a better deal or he makes more money,” said Bannon.
“His aggregation of wealth, and then – through wealth – power: that’s what he’s focused on.”
Bannon’s comments come as rumors have circulated that Trump is becoming “fed up” with Musk, after his social media tirade prompted British politicians to urge the president-elect to ditch him.
Musk hit out at the Labour party on his platform X last week, attacking Sir Keir Starmer and Jess Phillips over the grooming gang scandal, prompting British MPs to intervene.
