Nigel Farage has declared America “broken” after a difficult series of experiences.

The GB News presenter has seen his travel plans scuppered repeatedly as a result of extreme weather conditions.

Ahead of the Iowa caucuses, Farage found himself stuck at Chicago O’Hare Airport when a snowstorm saw his flight cancelled.

He was then forced to embark on a hellish five-hour trip on the road as he sought to learn more about Donald Trump’s hopes for a second presidential term in the flesh.

Now the former Brexit Party leader finds himself in the clutches of another crisis, being stranded in Dallas.

“America is broken. No, this is not a Donald Trump speech”, he said.

“Just out experience over the course of the last few days.

“From over-trade unionised areas where no one seems to work, even to areas where they do work, nothing seems to actually function.

“The big snowstorm took place on Saturday and Sunday, and yes, it was the second heaviest snowfall ever seen in Iowa. But it hasn’t snowed for three days and yet getting planes out of Des Moines Airport has been a nightmare.

“It was pretty easy today to clear the runways and de-ice the planes. Our plane to Dallas was delayed once, twice, thrice. So we’ve missed our connecting flight to London.”

With Farage stranded, the GB News star is desperately seeking out a location in which he can broadcast his People’s Channel show, but another problem has presented itself.

“We go to the desk to ask for our bags with all the cameras and equipment, and we’re told they will come between two and 12 hours, or they might not come at all.”

He went on to pin the blame on American Airlines, saying the company have repeatedly let him down.

“We were let down on the way out, we were let down on the way back, no one knows anything”, he said.

“The people you speak to literally haven’t got a clue, how can it be with barcodes, modern tech, where you can track a parcel coming to your house through a carrier, but they can’t find bags and she just said the bags are in the back room.”

The ex-UKIP leader went on to take aim at what he feels is a radical decline of America.

“This used to be the home of capitalism, the home of can do spirit”, he said.

“For now, it’s completely gone. Whether a Trump presidency can turn all of this around, I don’t know. But someone needs to do something.”
