Republican Overseas spokesperson Jennifer Ewing has criticised the mainstream media (MSM) after Joe Biden announced his decision to pull out of the presidential race.
The 81-year-old announced his decision to end his reelection campaign on Sunday after a series of strategic missteps and high profile calls for him to step down.
Speaking on GB News, Ewing says Biden being the Democrat nominee in the first place and remaining in the position for so long was scandalous, and the MSM are “complicit”.
“A lot of the mainstream media has been complicit in hiding this from American people and the rest of the world”, she said.

“It was only a few weeks ago when the debate happened when they couldn’t hide it anymore.
“The scramblings started to take place and everyone was trying to save their reputations, whether it was other Democrat politicians or the media.

Ewing also took aim at Biden’s family, namely First Lady Jill Biden, saying they should have done more to ensure the president would not be standing for a second term.
“A lot of pressure from his family to stay in, which on a human level is quite sad”, she said.
“You would think your family would be the ones to guide you into the next stage of your life, to not do so is incredibly selfish.”

Biden’s performance in the June 27 presidential debate against Republican candidate Donald Trump ramped up calls for him to give up.
He put his poor debate showing down to tiredness and illness, but that did little to curry favour with Americans.
His Republican foe, Donald Trump, jabbed Biden for being incoherent: "I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said."
It comes as sources claim Biden’s aides were left shocked by Biden’s decision.
"Last night the message was proceed with everything, full speed ahead," the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity. "At around 1:45 p.m. today: the president told his senior team that he had changed his mind."
