A former Conservative MP has been left furious with Transport for London staff after he accused them of doing nothing when assaulted at a railway station.
Alexander Stafford, who has served as a parliamentary private secretary for Boris Johnson and Kemi Badenoch, told GB News he was punched by a man at West Ealing Station yesterday evening.
After the incident, which took place around 7.40pm, police arrived following calls from members of the public, according to the former MP.
Mr Stafford told GB News he was hit twice, firstly on the top of the head and then on the jaw, after a man allegedly pushed through the barriers behind him at the station serving the Elizabeth Line and Great Western Railway.
Mr Stafford claimed TfL workers did not inform police of the alleged assault and accused staff of not checking on his health.
He told the People's Channel: "I presume I didn't move out of his way quickly enough, and he punched me. On the top of the head, downwards, and then to the jaw. I went down."
"TfL staff there did nothing, even when I was on the floor, and when the assailant left, they didn't come over to see how I was.
"Other passengers stepped in to see how I was, and they called the police. TfL were a disgrace."

The former MP added: "TfL's response was bland, heartless, and very generic.
"I am still shocked that the TfL staff did nothing. Eventually, after other passengers kept speaking to me, they brought a chair, and that was it. I didn't even get a first aid box or anything.
"The problem is they clearly don't care who rides on the tube. They couldn't care less.
"It's making London more and more unsafe. Our public transport used to be secure. Now, anyone can use and abuse it and people who try to get to and from work."
