McDonald’s decision to provide free food to the Israeli army has resulted in outcry from pro-Palestine activists.

Outrage boiled over in Turkey as demonstrators ransacked a branch in Istanbul, repeatedly smashing the front doors with tables and chairs.

The company decided to support the Israeli army in its efforts to carry out missile strikes in the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas’ atrocities on October 7 which resulted in the deaths of 1,400 Israelis.

Around 200 hostages were taken back to the Gaza Strip by Hamas terrorists.

Corbyn spoke to GB News from pro-Palestine demonstrations in London on Saturday, which was attended by at least 100,000 people calling for a ceasefire.

Nine people were arrested during the mainly peaceful protests, with seven of those alleged public order offences.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has called for the Government to provide greater clarity on policing extremism as he deals with criticism over the handling of demonstrations.

He said his officers are limited by legal definitions of extremism and arresting people without cause could risk “inflaming” the situation with the protesters.

Sir Mark said he would support a review into the legal definition of extremism and how it should be policed.

He told Sky News: “There is scope to be much sharper in how we deal with extremism within this country.

“The law was never designed to deal with extremism, there’s a lot to do with terrorism and hate crime but we don’t have a body of law that deals with extremism, and that is creating a gap.”
