Trigger warnings have been slapped on a children’s production of the Three Little Pigs, with parents fuming the move as “big bad woke”.
An advert for the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of the classic tale warned that it “has a passing reference to Father Pig being gobbled by the Big Bad Wolf”.
Parents buying tickets for their three to seven-year-olds have condemned the “patronising” message.
Tim Scott, of The Freedom Association, told The Sun: “This nonsense is all too typical of taking life far too seriously.”

He said that the story is already very well-known so should be left alone.
Father of two Vaz Sayed, 52, slammed the warning - which was listed in the ‘content and themes’ section of the theatre company’s website - as “laughable” and “patronising”.
He added: “It's less Big Bad Wolf and more Big Bad Woke!”
The theatre company has since removed the alert from its website, with a spokesperson telling the publication: “Because that line is in the main description as a basic plot point, it was unnecessary to flag it again. So the latter instance was removed.”

Earlier this month, a university faced backlash after it added content alerts to William Shakespeare’s works, including for “extreme weather” and “popping balloons”.
A total of 220 warnings were added to his works, as well as famous adaptations from the BBC, ITV, and theatrical versions.
The University of the West of England (UWE) told drama students that TV adaptations of Macbeth referenced “war” and “psychological distress”, and whilst watching The Tempest, viewers should be aware that there is “extreme weather” and “the depiction of magic”.
Toby Young, the leader of Free Speech Union, hit out at the Bristol-based university’s move.
“If I was a University of the West of England drama student, I’d be furious about being treated like such a snowflake.”

GB News spoke to Britons in Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford upon Avon about the recent rise in trigger warnings on the bard’s plays.
Shakespeare’s Globe in London last year “content guidance” for its productions of Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar.
One lady told GB News: “It’s absolutely ridiculous, you just have to understand how the world was when those plays were written.
“There was no offence meant and you can’t re-write history; history is there for us all to learn from.
“I think it’s the woke brigade spoiling everything.”
