Students from Oxford Action for Palestine have occupied the historic Radcliffe Camera library building, demanding the University of Oxford cut its financial ties with Israel.
About a dozen protesters seized the iconic building, which is part of the Bodleian Libraries, on Friday.

The occupation comes as the group accuses the university of maintaining "deplorable financial and material support" for Israel.

The protesters have unofficially renamed the Radcliffe Camera to the "Khalida Jarrar Library".
Jarrar is a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, an organisation designated as "terrorist" by Israel, the US and the European Union.
She was among the 90 Palestinian prisoners released this week as part of the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel.
Oxford Action for Palestine said the protest had "become necessary" after the university ceased contact with their negotiators and remained "blatantly inactive".
"The University has shown a clear lack of urgency and resorted to various stalling tactics, despite repeated calls from our broad, diverse, and multifaceted coalition to end its complicity," the group stated.
The protesters declared they "cannot abide business as usual" while the university maintains its support which they claim has "enabled ruthless Israeli genocide in Gaza".
The University of Oxford "thoroughly condemns the disruption and distress" caused by the protesters.
"While the University supports the right to peaceful protest, this action plainly goes beyond the bounds of acceptable protest and is a clear risk to the safety of protestors, students, staff and members of the public," the university said.
The institution warned the occupation is preventing students from using library resources and putting the historic building and its contents at risk.

Students have been advised to avoid the Radcliffe Camera and use alternative library facilities during the protest.
The Bodleian Library confirmed that Radcliffe Square has been closed while the occupation continues.
The disruption has affected access to study spaces and library resources in one of Oxford's most recognisable buildings.
