Tragic death of Dr Michael Mosley: The unanswered questions
BBC
Police and volunteers searched for four days to find the body of TV presenter Michael Mosley
Michael Mosley was found dead on the Greek island of Symi following a major search.
The TV doctor's body was discovered on rocks just a short walk from a popular beach prompting questions about why it took so long to find him and how he strayed off course.
Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, Dr Mosley's wife, said her husband took the wrong route before collapsing "where he couldn't easily be seen by the extensive search team."
In a statement she said: "It's devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband."

The search party included police, volunteers, helicopters, drones and a sniffer dog. At one point of the search, the volunteer party thought to include Mosley's four adult children, were barely 80 feet away from the body.
Eventually, the body was found by a Greek television camera crew who had hired a boat to film around the area.
A local bar manager, Ilias Tsavaris, said the rescue team had been searching the area every day with helicopters and on Thursday a fire brigade helicopter is said to have hovered over the spot the body was found.
Tsavaris also said that firefighters had walked down the rocky slopes just a few meters above where the body was discovered.

PAMosley set off on his walk back to his holiday villa alone with no mobile phone and therefore, no means of contact.
CCTV footage showed Mosley walking past a cafe in the village of Pedi before heading out of the village on a mountain path in the wrong direction.
Shortly after, he was seen again on CCTV walking up a "treacherous" mountain path not far from where his body was found.
If Mosley had taken his phone rescue teams may have been able to locate his body quicker via its signal.

PADr Mosley set off on his walk in intense 40C heat, and it is unclear whether he had brought food or water with him.
In one CCTV image, Mosley held an umbrella, potentially to shield himself from the heat.
It is also not known whether the TV presenter had any cash or bank cards with him to purchase water or food in the village of Pedi as he walked through.
Search teams also looked for Mosley in the treacherous heat and one police officer is suspected of having broken his leg after jumping from a wall near the body.
Mosley set off on a walk back to his holiday villa in Symi town after swimming with his wife at St Nicholas Beach.
Eventually, his body was found over two miles from the town of Symi near Agina Marina beach.
CCTV footage shows Mosley reaching the town of Pedi but it is not clear whether he took the mountain path to Agia Marina or left the path and walked inland to arrive at the marina from the north-west.
His body was found near a fence that surrounds the perimeter of a beach bar, however, it is not known whether he was fully aware of how close he was to the premises or if he tried to access the restaurant area.
