White Britons will be a minority by 2070 and it is not racist to be concerned about this trend, political commentator Matt Goodwin has claimed.
Speaking to Steve Edginton on GB News, the leading pollster argued it’s important to “dramatically lower” the rate at which migrants are making their way into the country.
He called for an end to mass immigration and multiculturalism as the “status quo isn’t working for millions of people”.
“At the root of what we’re seeing on the streets is a strong public concern of the decline of the majority group”, he said.

“We’ve seen the share in the percentage of white British people fall sharply over the last 30 years. In many areas we have seen white British, particularly in schools, become a minority.
“That is fuelling intense concerns of what the majority group will look like in the country.

“This is where I part from the left. People on the left will say, ‘fears over the decline of the future majority ethnic group are racist’. I would say concern about a loss of the familiar is not the same as a dislike of the perceived outsider.
“Many people will feel they are losing the familiar because of the decline of the majority ethnic group.
“As I said earlier on, the percentage of people born outside the UK who are now in the UK is 17 per cent.
“If you look at the future trends, this will only accelerate. Depending on which forecast you look at, white Brits will become a minority by around the year 2070.

“Some forecasts will suggest it’s a little earlier. Over the next 12 years, between now and the year 2036, even the Government’s own forecast suggests we will have around 6.5 million more people coming into Britain.
“6.1 million of those because of immigration. Immigration will be responsible for 90 per cent of our population growth over the next decade.”
Keir Starmer is under pressure to tackle immigration, and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson has accused him of being “deaf” to public concerns.
In his weekly Daily Mail column, Johnson pointed to Starmer’s decision to kill off the Rwanda deportation plan.
He also condemned Starmer’s decision to close the Bibby Stockholm barge, which housed 400 asylum seekers.
Johnson said: “Whatever you may have intended by all this, you gave the clear impression of a man who has no plan to stop illegal immigration because he simply doesn’t care.
“Nothing excuses the behaviour of the rioters, and they deserve to be banged up.
“But nothing excuses a government that seems deaf to public concerns, and that suggests, moreover, that they actively dislike all members of the public who share those concerns.”
Starmer has vowed to go about tackling the migrant crisis by focusing on those crossing the Channel illegally.
The Prime Minister has vowed to put a stop to asylum seekers making perilous journeys across the Channel from France by “smashing” the criminal smuggling gangs.
