The strong performance on TikTok forms part of a wider surge in audience growth across GB News platforms

GB News has passed another major milestone - after soaring beyond five million followers on TikTok.

The People's Channel continues to attract huge audiences on the platform, with GB News content viewed more than 1.3 billion times so far in 2026.

The achievement underlines the growing demand for GB News journalism across digital platforms, and cements the channel's position as one of the UK's most successful news brands on TikTok.

Carl Bennett, Head of New Platforms at GB News, said: "We were delighted to see our follower count pass five million over the weekend. Reaching this milestone reflects the trust that millions of viewers and listeners place in our journalism every day. It is also a testament to the hard work of our teams, who continue to deliver compelling content that resonates with audiences wherever they consume news.”

The strong performance on TikTok forms part of a wider surge in audience growth across GB News platforms.

On YouTube, GB News recorded its second-highest daily total ever on 3 June, attracting 5,346,632 views as audiences turned to the channel for comprehensive coverage of the Henry Nowak police bodycam scandal and the fallout from the Mandelson files.

And latest BARB figures for May show GB News has opened up a 32 per cent lead over Sky News and now attracts an average audience 22 per cent larger than the BBC News Channel.

Meanwhile, the latest RAJAR data shows GB News Radio increased its reach by 21 per cent year on year to 676,000 listeners, outperforming all major network rivals over the same period.

The figures place GB News Radio ahead of Times Radio, which recorded a reach of 604,000 listeners, and Talk, which reached 560,000 listeners during the first quarter of 2026.

The latest milestone highlights the continued growth of GB News across television, radio, digital and social media, as more viewers and listeners choose The People's Channel for breaking news, analysis and debate.
