The People's Channel is expanding its transmission on global platforms

GB News has today started broadcasting via satellite to the entire European continent as it continues its expansion on global platforms.

The channel made the change this morning, making GB News available live and free to view from as far east as the Baltics, as far north as Scandinavia, and down to the tip of north Africa and the Canary Islands.

Previously, GB News’ position on the satellite served only the United Kingdom and Eire.

The move did not affect transmission, although a handful of UK viewers with older Sky and Freesat set-top boxes may have noticed a momentary interruption during the switch.

The GB News channel numbers have not changed. Chief Executive Officer Angelos Frangopoulos said: “Working with our transmission partner, we have made GB News available to millions of locations including all homes, hotels and bars across Europe already equipped with satellite equipment.”

He added: “We already have a passionate following of viewers in Europe, including many expats who enjoy watching GB News live on YouTube, our website, and other platforms.
