Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What a night for UK EuroMillions players, as a single ticket-holder has scooped tonight’s life-changing £55m EuroMillions jackpot.”

“This is the second EuroMillions jackpot win in the UK so far this month, after another lucky ticket-holder won an incredible £111.7million in the draw on Friday June 2.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner”

The huge prize would leave the lucky winner wealthier than Spurs striker Harry Kane.

England’s captain registered £51million on The Sunday Times Rich List.

Kane reportedly earns £200,000 per week, netting more than £10.4million per year.

The 29-year-old bumps up his wealth with a lucrative sponsorship deal with Nike.

Kane could look to earn even more money by eyeing up a move away from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.

Euromillions winners are now obliged to reveal their identity.

However, ticket holders can elect to do so once their ticket has been validated and paid.
