A major police manhunt has been launched after four people were injured during a shooting in Brixton.
Metropolitan Police officers rushed to Coldharbour Lane shortly after 1am this morning following reports that a gun had been discharged in the area.
Among those hurt was a 25-year-old man whose injuries have been described as life-threatening by police.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, has prompted an urgent investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Three additional victims were transported to hospital following the incident, with their ages given as 21, 47 and 70.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that no one has yet been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
However, investigators are said to be working "at pace" to identify and locate those behind the attack.
The force continues to examine the circumstances of the firearm discharge as enquiries remain ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to come forward as detectives pursue multiple lines of inquiry in their efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo said: ‘We understand how concerning this incident will be for the local community and want to reassure residents that officers are working at pace to identify those responsible.
‘This was an act of indiscriminate violence, and we will work relentlessly to bring the suspects to justice.

‘It is vital that anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information that could assist the investigation, comes forward."
The London Ambulance Service added: "We treated four patients at the scene. We took two of them to a major trauma centre and the other two patients to a local hospital."
Reports indicate a BBQ had been taking place prior to the "drive-by shooting".

Police have confirmed that the suspect currently remains at large with no arrests yet made.
