Brixton: Crime scene established after large knife found on street

A police cordon has been set up in central Brixton around a large knife.

Precise details as to why the weapon was left in the area are not yet clear. However the Metropolitan Police have said that they were called at approximately 11:45am this morning to reports of a fight in Brixton Road.
Both officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene to find a male, believed aged 17, suffering knife injuries. The man has been taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The Met say enquiries are underway to locate another male who was reported to have been involved.
There have so far been no arrests made, however a crime scene remains in place.
