An Amazon delivery driver has been caught stealing a Christmas present worth £300 after pretending to place it on a doorstep.
Derrick Naisbitt, 52, from Derby, claimed his wife Rosemary was left without a festive gift which was meant to help her mobility.
He claimed the gift was snatched from his doorstep after the delivery driver listed it as “delivered”.
Naisbitt left a sign on his door requesting deliveries to be left with his neighbour as he headed out on Christmas Eve.

However, when the couple returned home they noticed the parcel was not left in their rear garden or with their neighbours.
Naisbitt bought his wife a £289 Revitive Medic Circulation Booster.
The device, which offers support to tired and achy legs, was expected to help bring health benefits.
The 52-year-old captured what happened on CCTV.

The man, wearing a high-visibility jacket, then scanned the parcel.
However, after setting it down and taking a picture, he appeared to leave while clutching with the parcel.
Naisbitt received a replacement parcel following the incident.
However, he no longer trusts couriers and fears his parcel could get snatched again.
Naisbitt is also concerned he will not receive a replacement parcel if it happens for a second time.
Naisbitt’s footage showed a suspected delivery driver arriving at the property.

The builder’s merchant worker told DerbyshireLive: "I appreciate that they have rectified the issue to an extent by sending another parcel, but that's not the point.
“I understand that sometimes parcels do not get delivered but I expect a courier to be truthful and not say my parcel has been delivered when it hasn't.
"My wife didn't have her present to open on Christmas Day and we were left chasing Amazon for a new parcel over the Christmas period.
“I just want to warn people and I want the company to take accountability for their actions."
A spokesperson for Amazon also told The Daily Mirror: "We have very high standards for the delivery service providers we work with and how they serve customers. We are investigating the incident."
