Poundland customers will have the chance to win £1,000 every day for a whole month.
The discount retailer will use their computer systems to select one winner at random each day.
As many as 30 Poundland customers will be selected at random to win the instant £1,000 cash prize.
Millions of Britons can take part as all they need to do is checkout as normal at the retailer.
Winners will be notified instantly on the checkout screen and the customer will then have 72 hours to return to the store with proof of ID and their bank details.
This is the first time Poundland has ever launched this kind of promotion and is believed to be a first in the UK’s discount sector.

The promotion will begin at 10am and customers will be able to pit their skills against Poundland’s ‘Grand in Your Hand’ air machine.
Multiple people will be able to enter the air machine and grab as many fake notes as they can within the timeframe.
The person with the most fake notes collected at the end of the day will win the £1,000 cash prize.
Anna Hay, Poundland’s customer and marketing director said: "Our customers appreciate the value we provide, and now we’re providing even more fun when shopping with us.
"The new ranges we offer such Pepco clothing, homewares, chilled and frozen food offer amazing value – and now 30 customers could get even more of a bargain by winning big at the checkout."
The news follows the discount retailer's launch of a new loyalty scheme for customers.
Their loyalty scheme offers points and exclusive promotions for every £1 spent in-store.
Known as Poundland Perks, the budget chain is rolling out the rewards app for shoppers at 62 stores in Scotland this month.
The scheme was initially trialled in Northern Ireland in 2023. It is expected to become available UK-wide later this year.
With the app, which can be downloaded via Apple and Google Play, customers earn 100 points for every £1 spent in Poundland.
To benefit, customers need 5,000 points in order to receive a £1 off voucher for their next shop.
So they'll have to spend £50 to save just £1.
Customers don’t have to spend £50 all in one go to earn their voucher, this can be spent over as many transactions.
