Labour HATES Britain and would hand immigration powers back to the EU, warns Bob Seely MP
PA
'A vote for Labour is a vote for a party that wants to see high tax'
The blunt truth is, who knows? Labour have no plan, and we’d be going back to square one with them. But, just like the old saying, "a leopard doesn’t change its spots", and Labour politicians don’t change their fundamental beliefs, either.
So let’s look a tax, immigration and political correctness.
On tax, the idea that Labour want to bring down tax is for the birds. They are a high tax party, it is in their DNA: always have been and always will be. They have always left the country in a worse position than they have found us.
Rishi Sunak wants to bring tax down, and for the average working person, taxes have been falling since last year. Inflation is also down whilst wages are now rising faster than the cost of living. Taxes went up between 2021 and 2023 because of Covid and the Ukraine war energy shock. We needed to look after people, it was the right thing to do.
Labour wanted to spend another £28 billion on green policies. They are still committed to the same policies, they just haven’t said how they will pay for them.
On immigration. Labour don’t care. We do. We are working to get illegal and legal migration down. On illegal migration, it’s down 36 per cent. Labour would make this problem far worse.
Legal migration is too high. We know that. We are bringing it down. I do not believe Labour would bring it down. Indeed, Labour’s immigration strategy could see the UK handing over some immigration powers to the European Union.
Next, on political correctness, Labour say they will modernise the gender recognition process.
It is difficult to know for sure what this means because, as with everything with Labour, it is so vague.
But we do know that in Scotland, Labour voted with the SNP on gender self-declaration – a direct attack on the rights of women which could allow biological males into women-only spaces.
We also know that Keir Starmer previously committed to reforming the Gender Recognition Act to allow trans people to self-identify. This was dropped in July 2023, but it is clearly what he and his party believe.
We know that shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves said people should be able to identify as a man or woman ‘whatever their body parts are’. We know that Angela Rayner said it didn’t matter if trans double rapist Isla Bryson is jailed in a women’s prison.
So we know what they think, and what they think is the opposite of the overwhelming majority.
What about our history?
Well, we know that Labour hate our history and traditions. The Left think that the Empire was about slavery, rather than its abolition. They left are ashamed of Britain’s history, rather than proud of it.
So, we can expect more divisive identity politics as Labour seek to find ways of dividing people rather than uniting them. Expect too more apologising for our past and more disdain for the overwhelming majority who our proud of our nation.
Oh, and Keir Starmer voted against the will of the British people 48 times after Brexit, so he is no fan of democracy.
So the message is a simple one.
We have had a tough few years, but we are getting back to where we want to be: honouring the triple lock, lowering the taxes for working families, getting inflation back down to 2 per cent, growing the economy and creating wealth to pay for our public services.
A vote for Labour is a vote for a party that wants to see high tax, that is ashamed of our history and tradition and that will threaten women’s rights. And, by the way, a vote for Reform is a vote to let in Labour too.
In addition, I don’t believe the pensions triple lock will be safe with Labour.
So, if you were a Tory voter but are now thinking you might vote for Starmer, please don’t.
Stick with Rishi and the team that has a plan, not for Labour Party that has no plan and doesn’t respect your values and beliefs.
