Wet hair is more fragile

"Wet hair is more fragile and prone to breakage, which can lead to a lot of frustration in the morning."
Damp hair is more delicate so it might be damaged if you are moving around a lot during the night, as this will cause friction.
There are also more serious health risks of leaving wet hair for too long, such as the growth of bacteria, the doctor explained.
He continued: "Sleeping with damp hair creates an ideal environment for fungal growth, such as Malassezia, which thrives in moist conditions and can cause dandruff.
"Although some cultures believe that sleeping with wet hair can lead to headaches or colds, there's no solid scientific evidence to support this - although it's a topic worth exploring."
How often you wash your hair is different for everyone and the technique you use can affect its appearance, according to hair experts at luxury hair extension specialists Roxy Hair.
They discussed the trend of double washing - which means shampooing twice rather than once.
