Tom Jones lived in a multi-million pound mansion in a small part of Wales

Tom Jones has travelled the world but it is no surprise the singer chose his home country to settle down in for many years.

He lived in a huge house in the south of Wales for 10 years.

The property was located in the small market town Cowbridge.

This is less than 30 minutes from the Welsh capital of Cardiff.

Tom is sure to have lived in luxury during his time at the property.

The grounds were complete with tennis courts and stables as well as plenty of outdoor space.

Inside, visitors would find five bedrooms, a games room, a bar and home cinema.

The 83-year-old lived in the home for a decade between 1988 and 1998.

The mansion was recently sold for an impressive £2.6million.

Tom has not moved too far, however, as he has since settled down in London.

Cowbridge had a very small population around the time the singer lived there, with just over 3,600 residents in 2001.

Still, the 13th century market town is considered one of the "most desirable places to live", according to Visit the Vale.

It added: "A drive down Primrose Hill is the perfect welcome to Cowbridge, a 13th century market town, often highlighted as one of Wales' most desirable places to live.

"A charming welcome awaits from this ancient town, and the surrounding Vale, and a great way to discover Cowbridge's history is to follow the Blue Plaque Trail."
