Robert De Niro owned a £1.5million flat in the UK

Robert De Niro is a huge Hollywood star who has owned properties across the world.

The actor purchased a lavish flat in London that he owned for many years.


The penthouse flat was bought for £750,000 and was based in a converted Hartley jam factory.

The flat is in Southwark, a central part of London that is full of history.

Inside, it had floor-to-ceiling windows giving 360 views, including sights of the Shard and St Paul's Cathedral.

It has a spacious open-plan design and is decorated with timeless white walls and walnut floors.

The flat also has a spacious outdoor area with incredible views of the city.

Robert owned the home until it was listed on the market for £1.5million in 2018.

Southwark is a great location for anyone hoping to enjoy some of London's biggest tourist attractions.

It is near the River Thames, the Tate Modern Gallery and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

It also has traditional English pubs and plenty of unique restaurants to grab a bite to eat.

Living in the area does not come cheap, however.

Properties have sold for an average of £637,683 in the last year, according to Rightmove.

Flats sold for around £485,710 while semi-detached properties average £1,170,934.

The Police's Andy Summers also chose London as somewhere to buy a house.

The musician lived in a "delightful" part of the city with "open land, lakes and views".
