Helen Mirren has become one of Britain’s most esteemed actresses and one of the few stars who has achieved the triple crowns, for her roles in TV, Theatre and Film.
Her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II garnered praise from critics around the world and was lauded by the Queen herself, who congratulated the actress on her performance.
In 2003, Mirren was appointed Dame of the British Empire by the Queen, at Buckingham Palace.
Today, the actress spends most of her time at her Lake Tahoe abode in Nevada after moving there with her husband, director Taylor Hackford during the pandemic.

“It’s given me the opportunity to be with my husband in a sort of normal everyday way, which has been fantastic,” Mirren told the Independent.
“It is actually the first time in all of our 30 years together that we’ve sat down at the table each night and had dinner together.
“Normally, we’re getting on planes, doing there, there. So it’s been fabulous just to be a normal person.”
Before moving across the pond, the pair had called London's Battersea their home. This was until they purchased a new property in Wapping, which drew them in with its bustling art scene.
Mirren now owns a 19th-century four-story Georgian townhouse in the area, located near the Thames River and overlooking a communal garden.
“With plenty of maritime history, converted warehouses and a scenic marina, living in Wapping is your chance to enjoy the riverside life,” explains the site Essential Living.
“London is blessed with many waterside neighbourhoods, but the EW1 postcode has a strong case for the best of the lot.”
Other famous faces that call Wapping home include Eurovision host Graham Norton, who reportedly lives in the area with his dogs.
St Katherine Docks, a hub for taverns and restaurants, is among the most popular spots to visit in the area.
The area was also once the execution dock where pirates would be hanged for their crimes.

Other celebrities who reside in the quieter corners of London include Dame Emma Thompsom, who owns a home in London's idyllic West Hampstead.
Her family home is located on the same street she grew up on and across the road from her 91-year-old mother’s abode, actress Phyllida Law.
Like Wapping, West Hampstead is another area renowned for its unparalleled serenity.
