The Fisherman baby coats, priced at £24, have been on sale since January 9, 2025.
They were sold both online through M&S.com and in physical Clothing & Home stores across the country.
Affected items have the product codes T78 4045Y, T78 2032Y and T78 4039Y in sizes 0-3 months and 3-6 months.
Parents are urged to check the product codes and sizes of any recently purchased M&S baby coats to determine if they are affected by this safety recall.
M&S did not provide specific details about the nature of the safety issue. However, customers were advised to stop using the recalled products.
The supermarket told shoppers: "We've taken the precaution of recalling the above specified sizes and request you return them to us immediately via Clothing & Home stores or Customer Services for a full refund."
For those with further questions about the recall, the retailer provided a dedicated customer service line: 0333 014 8555.
M&S apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers. It also assured shoppers that the above products are the only ones affected by the recall.
